41,5 million euros are earmarked for the smaller islands for the next three years according to the decree of the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Francesco Boccia, approved in the last extraordinary session of the Unified Conference. "The local administrators of the smaller islands - explained Minister Francesco Boccia - will now have the guarantee that every year they will have a share of resources to be allocated to investments in schools, public works, emergencies connected to all the needs that each island has. Who is at sea normally does not have the services we have, I say it with a joke, on land. The smaller islands need additional aid and the budgets of the municipalities are not enough. The hope is to get up to speed with an extraordinary fund that will allow each island to have up to one million euros ".
