ANCIM points out that the budget bill currently being debated in Parliament, out of over 400 "reported" amendments, includes only two of direct relevance to the municipalities of the smaller islands. In the statement, the Association calls on the Government and Parliament to pay greater attention to the structural needs of island communities and calls for strengthening dedicated measures, including in terms of essential services and local development.
